Assessment & Training
DriveKraft Occupational Driver Education
Someone somewhere may be on the road right now working for your company. Although they are not on your business premises they are still at work for you and are owed the same 'duty of care' by your organisation. It doesn't matter if they are a professional HGV driver or using their own car to travel to a different office, the same rules and risks apply.
"For the majority of people the most dangerous thing that they do while at work is drive on the public highway" Health and Safety Executive (1996).
In 2009, 3 people died and 41 were seriously injured on Northamptonshire's roads on work related journeys. This represents 10% of all casualties in Northamptonshire and aside from the personal cost, the cost to business can run into millions.
Northamptonshire County Council and it's partners offer driver education to help you reduce the risk of accidents amongst employees. Improving driving knowledge and safety awareness of your staff can prove to be extremely cost effective for business.
Better safety amongst drivers will lead to fewer accidents, lower costs, less downtime and improved performance.
Who is it for?
The schemes are very beneficial to a whole range of drivers; from novices to experienced drivers needing 'refresher' education or training, to very experienced drivers.
We are able to tailor the course to suit your business requirements. This can range from a 1 hour interactive workshop to a whole day incorporating on-road driving assessment by qualified driving instructors. We currently provide all our indoor education sessions for FREE.
